From a recovered WordPress website to a research-led marketing platform for Trinidad and Tobago.
DSDillon recovered its earlier marketing website from a November 2024 backup after the original domain expired. The restored site provided the content, brand assets and visual baseline for a custom rebuild at marketing.dsdillon.com. The new experience contains 25 indexable pages, six developed service pages, nine researched guides, interactive planning tools and a guided enquiry journey for the Trinidad and Tobago market.

Recovering the original website before redesigning it
The earlier dsdillonmarketing.com website had been unavailable after its domain expired. A read-only inspection of the owner's hosting account located matching Softaculous archives. The newest matching archive was dated 19 November 2024 and contained the WordPress files, database, theme and uploaded media.
The website was restored first at marketing.dsdillon.com using a separate database and a dedicated account. Its eight published pages, original design and images were checked before the custom project began. That restored version supplied an inspectable baseline for the redesign.
The original archive, database export, recovered installation and before screenshots remain privately retained on the owner's server. The public case study does not expose account credentials, private customer information or enquiry records.
A Trinidad and Tobago brief with a defined audience
The redesign brief focused on people seeking marketing services for businesses in Trinidad and Tobago. The contact number was updated to 1 (868) 472-8815 for telephone and WhatsApp, while marketing@dsdillon.com remained the business enquiry address.
The service architecture covers website design, Google visibility and local SEO, social media and content, Google and social advertising, logo and graphic design, and marketing strategy. Each service has its own explanation of the work, scoping questions and next step.
The copy describes the real market and working arrangements without inventing branch offices, client counts or performance statistics. DSDillon Marketing is identified as part of DSDillon, with links to documented projects and the parent website.
Researching the questions behind a purchase
Research examined relevant public search results, local service-provider pages and Google autocomplete responses using Trinidad and Tobago query seeds. Examples included website design Trinidad, social media management packages Trinidad, logo design Trinidad and the question of why a business is not showing on Google.
The research also surfaced job, salary and training queries. Those were separated from the service-buyer content plan. Guides focus on decisions a prospective client needs to make: website costs, package inclusions, account ownership, logo files, advertising enquiries and how to evaluate a provider.
Primary references include Google Search and Business Profile guidance, Google Ads documentation, Meta account-access information, WhatsApp business guidance and Adobe's explanation of vector files. Relevant sources and review dates appear on the published service pages and guides.
This is qualitative search-intent research. Autocomplete suggestions and public results do not establish verified monthly search volumes or guarantee commercial demand. The project records the questions used to shape the content, leaving later performance claims to subsequent evidence.
Preserving identity within a new visual system
The original burgundy DM brand mark was recovered from the existing website assets and retained. The custom design pairs it with the DSDillon Marketing name, a light neutral background, dark typography and restrained burgundy accents.
The homepage presents actual DSDillon project captures in an interactive preview. Visitors can switch between Wage Master and Natae Hair & Beauty, then open the relevant case study. The imagery represents real website interfaces rather than an invented physical office or team.
Animation is used for a soft background treatment and short section reveals. A visible pause control and reduced-motion support give visitors control over movement. Important content is visible even when animation is unavailable.
Twenty-five developed, crawlable pages
The public build uses generated HTML, custom CSS and JavaScript, with a limited PHP layer for enquiries and first-party analytics. The WordPress and Elementor runtime was retired from the public application after testing, while the recovered installation remained available privately for rollback and reference.
The route set contains a homepage, service overview, six service pages, an insight index, nine guides, About and Work pages, a planning toolkit, Contact and three policy pages. A separate not-found page returns a proper error response.
The main copy is present in the initial HTML. Page titles, descriptions, canonical addresses and internal links are generated consistently. Structured data describes the organisation, parent relationship, services, articles and breadcrumbs using information visible on the pages.
Interactive tools with clear boundaries
The homepage needs finder helps a visitor choose between getting online, improving discoverability, examining a weak enquiry journey and planning more useful content. Its response links to the relevant service or guide.
The toolkit contains an eight-point marketing readiness checklist and a downloadable checklist. A campaign planner calculates total entered cost, cost per qualified enquiry, estimated customers and cost per estimated customer using editable assumptions supplied by the visitor.
The calculator defaults are labelled as illustrative. They are not agency prices, market benchmarks or predicted advertising results. A zero close-rate input is handled explicitly, and invalid inputs produce a request to check the values.
The project brief builder organises the starting point, service, goal and timeframe. A visitor can download the summary or begin an enquiry with the selected service prefilled. The guide library also supports text search and topic filtering.
A guided enquiry journey and compact contact controls
The enquiry flow begins with the project requirement, business stage, goal, budget range, timeframe and service area. It then requests business contact details and presents a review step before submission. Budget ranges are identified as scoping information rather than package prices.
The server checks the request origin, session token, permitted field values and input lengths. A honeypot, minimum completion time and rate limit help control abuse. Accepted enquiries receive a reference and are stored outside the public website, with email-notification status recorded separately.
A controlled test verified form validation, successful storage, notification queuing, idempotent resubmission and rejection of an invalid form token. Test activity is identified as verification activity rather than a customer lead.
The WhatsApp button remains a compact, visible control using the supplied number. The share panel provides WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, Facebook and copy-link options, with native sharing when supported. A separate scroll-to-top button includes a reading-progress ring.
Go reporting and visitor choice
The website is registered as DSDillon Marketing in Go's website analytics. Optional first-party measurement records page journeys, contact actions, selected tool events and successful enquiry events after the visitor allows analytics.
The implementation uses separate signed cookies for the marketing site and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Names, email addresses, messages and the other enquiry field values are kept out of analytics. Cross-property identity matching is disabled for this integration.
Sharing remains usable when analytics are declined. When measurement is allowed, a random share token can connect a shared page to a later visit. A website button action still does not prove that an external message was delivered, a phone call completed or a sale occurred.
Migration, public verification and visual evidence
The existing About and Latest News addresses redirect to the new About and guide pages. Sitemap aliases point to the new sitemap, HTTP redirects to HTTPS, and the retired WordPress administration routes return a gone response. Recovered raster media were retained at their earlier upload paths to reduce broken references.
Before-and-after captures record the public WordPress and custom versions at matched desktop and mobile viewport sizes. These comparisons show the changed layout, information hierarchy and contact controls without fabricating an earlier design.
The browser test set covers all 25 public pages at desktop and mobile widths, with additional small-mobile checks for the homepage, contact page and toolkit. It checks route status, page headings, schema parsing, image loading, horizontal overflow and JavaScript errors. Interactive checks cover navigation, project previews, the needs finder, sharing, scroll-to-top and planning tools.
Search foundations and honest outcome reporting
The build includes a sitemap, robots controls, descriptive metadata, structured information and a descriptive llms.txt directory. Google's guidance on AI search features informed the approach: useful accessible content remains essential, and publication cannot force an AI citation or search ranking.
The case study documents recovery, research, design, development and tested functionality. It does not claim traffic growth, improved rankings, a number of customers or revenue from the new website.
A later measurement period can examine relevant queries, visits, qualified enquiries and business follow-up. Those observations should be reported with their source, timeframe and limitations. The preserved project record provides a clear starting point for that work.
See the work in its current form
The screenshot records the public website at the time this case study was prepared. Because websites, products, programs and promotions can change, the live destination is the best place to review the current experience.
