What Is FIUTT Trust and Company Service Provider Registration?

A guide to FIUTT registration for Trust and Company Service Providers in Trinidad and Tobago, including DSDillon’s TCSP/LB/131/2025 registration reference.

The direct answer

Trust and Company Service Providers (TCSPs) are included among the listed-business categories supervised by the Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago. Where a business performs activities that fall within the relevant TCSP category, FIUTT registration forms part of the applicable supervisory framework.

FIUTT’s own registration guidance also states that a business operating in more than one listed-business category must submit registration for each applicable category. This is why one business can legitimately hold separate registration references for different supervised activities.

Why TCSP activity is supervised

Company and trust services can involve formation, administration, control structures, ownership information and transactions on behalf of clients. Those characteristics create obligations around customer identification, beneficial ownership, record keeping and suspicious-activity controls under the applicable AML/CFT/CPF framework.

Registration therefore identifies the provider within the FIUTT supervisory system. It should not be confused with incorporation of the provider itself or with registration of a client company at the Companies Registry.

Registration does not amount to FIUTT endorsement

FIUTT registration should not be presented as a licence to practise law, accounting or another regulated profession, and it should not be presented as an endorsement or guarantee by FIUTT. The correct description is registration as a supervised entity in the applicable listed-business category.

Official FIUTT resources

FIUTT’s official registration page explains who must register, while the current Listed Business registration form identifies Trust and Company Service Providers among the covered categories.

Sources and methodology
