Identify the project data and its purpose
A reporting application may need budgets, commitments, documents or daily activity. List the required records and the decisions they support. Confirm the available Procore resources and permissions for each.
Keep company and project identifiers with imported records. A user working on one project must not inherit access to another through a report or search index.
Use an authorized connection
Procore provides developer documentation for OAuth authorization. The integration design must match the account setup and the resources required. We agree who owns the application, authorizes access and handles renewal or revocation.
Build reporting and tools around traceable records
A dashboard can retain source references, reporting periods and last update times. An assistant can be given approved read tools through an MCP connection with separate permissions for any later actions.
