Search Visibility Diagnostic
Why is my business not showing up on Google?
“Not showing up” can describe several different problems: a page may not be indexed, it may be indexed but irrelevant to the query, the business may be weak in local results, or the search demand may not match the page. These require different fixes.
Signals worth investigating
- The website cannot be found even with specific branded searches
- Pages are indexed but absent for important service searches
- The business appears inconsistently across local search surfaces
- Search pages do not clearly match the service or location intent
- Technical accessibility and content relevance have not been separated
A better diagnostic sequence
- Confirm whether the relevant page is indexable and indexed
- Identify the exact query and page expected to appear
- Separate local-map visibility from normal organic results
- Review page relevance and internal structure
- Measure movement before and after changes
