Search Visibility Check

Check whether a public webpage has the basic technical and content signals that help search engines understand and discover it.

How to interpret the check

This tool inspects the public page a search engine can request. It looks for basic discoverability and page-understanding signals such as title structure, headings, canonical references, indexing directives, structured data and other visible technical conditions. Use the result to identify what deserves investigation, not as a substitute for Search Console performance data.

A technically clean page can still rank poorly when it does not match the search intent, lacks useful evidence or competes with stronger pages. Conversely, a ranking change cannot be attributed to one technical signal without before-and-after evidence.

Search visibility field guide

Read the public signals before deciding what needs to change.

This check is a public-page diagnostic. It helps separate crawl and page-understanding problems from questions that require Search Console, analytics, customer records or a deeper competitive review. A score is useful only when the business knows what evidence produced it and what the tool cannot observe.

CHAPTER 01

Start with the exact page and query problem

“We are not ranking” is too broad for a useful diagnosis. Identify the service, location or question customers are searching for and the page expected to answer it. A homepage can be technically sound while the relevant service page is absent, unclear or competing with another URL.

CHAPTER 02

Separate access from relevance

Indexing controls, status codes, canonical signals, headings and structured data help search systems access and interpret a page. They do not prove that the page is the strongest answer for a query. Relevance also depends on what the page actually explains, the searcher’s intent and the alternatives available.

CHAPTER 03

Bring private performance evidence next

Search Console can show query and page impressions, clicks and position data for a verified property. Analytics and lead records can show what happened after a visit. Those sources answer questions a public crawler cannot answer and help distinguish low visibility from poor conversion.

CHAPTER 04

Validate the repair instead of trusting the score

After a change, confirm that the intended page is accessible, the live markup contains the correction and search systems have had an opportunity to process it. Then review relevant query and enquiry evidence over a meaningful period. A better technical score is not itself the commercial outcome.

Evidence that makes the result more useful

Public page evidence

Rendered titles, headings, canonical references, indexing directives, links, structured data and other signals available without private access.

Search performance evidence

Verified Search Console query and page data when the business can provide access. This is the appropriate source for actual impressions and clicks.

Customer evidence

Qualified calls, forms, bookings or sales connected with landing pages where lawful and available.

Change evidence

A record of what was altered, when it reached production and how the corrected page was verified.

Limits that should remain visible

  • The public check does not know Google’s ranking systems or the private signals used to order results.
  • It cannot claim keyword demand, impressions, clicks or positions without authoritative property data.
  • A technically healthy page may still be commercially weak or irrelevant to the searcher’s decision.

Questions after using the tool

Does a 100 score guarantee rankings?

No. The score describes selected public conditions. Search engines control indexing and ranking, and competitive relevance is broader than this diagnostic.

Should every warning be fixed immediately?

No. Prioritize issues affecting important pages, indexing, user understanding or the enquiry path. Low-impact findings can wait behind material defects.

Why might Search Console and this tool disagree?

They measure different things. This tool inspects the current public page; Search Console reports Google search performance for a verified property over time.

What should I send for a deeper review?

The target service, genuine markets, expected landing pages, Search Console access or exports, analytics evidence and examples of qualified enquiries provide a stronger starting point.
