Compare with an approved record
Use a previous approved invoice, supplier agreement or master record to compare the business name and payment details. The checker can read supported document text and flag payment change language. It does not verify ownership of a bank account.
Upload the invoice and paste the accompanying message. If the PDF is a scanned image, extracted text may be incomplete. Review the text shown in the result before relying on it.
Keep payment changes outside the email approval chain
A request arriving inside an existing thread can still require verification. Call an established supplier contact using a number held before the request arrived. Record who confirmed the change and when.
- Compare the payee and account details with the approved supplier record.
- Verify a change through an established contact.
- Use a second approver for sensitive payment updates.
- Keep the invoice, message and verification note together.
When payment has already been sent
Contact your bank or payment provider promptly through its official channel. Preserve the transaction reference and the original communications. Avoid paying anyone who promises guaranteed recovery.
Questions about this check
Can the checker prove that a bank account belongs to a supplier?
No. Account ownership needs a reliable bank or payee verification service, or direct confirmation through an established supplier contact.
Can a genuine supplier email contain fraudulent payment instructions?
Yes. A compromised mailbox can send messages through normal systems. Authentication and familiar wording do not settle the payment question.
